Douglas Fir Wood Beams

Known for it's beautiful brownish red tones and long consistent grain pattern, Douglas Fir is a household favorite in the building industry.

Also known as: Pseudotsuga menziesii, Oregon pine, British Columbian Pine, Puget Sound Pine, Douglas Spruce, False Hemlock, Red Rir, or Red Pine.

An amazing species of wood found growing in the Western North America. Douglas Fir is a beautiful tree that can grow to heights of two hundred and fifty feet tall and a base of five feet in diameter, making it an almost perfect species for wood beams. Doug Fir has an impressive strength to weight ratio, with an 855 mPA, it's excellent to span large distances with little deflection.
