VG Southern Yellow Pine
A southern classic quarter sawn at our mill for totally different look and feel. Available in flooring, lumber, and cladding that is becoming a favorite for architects, designers, and home owners.
Species
Southern Yellow Pine quarter sawn, also known as vertical grain, has all the characteristics of Southern Yellow Pine, but with a different look and more stable. The grain runs vertically along the board, producing striations of darker tones. This cut also makes the board more stable and less susceptible to warping and bowing.
Color
Tones of yellow in the soft grain and amber in the hard grain.
